Average Joe #2 submitted a new resource: Exposure Blend - quick work of blending 3. After installation, you can access the script from. First install the GIMP, at least version 2.2. After running it once, download and add the script file exposure-blend.scm to the directory ~/.gimp-2.6/scripts (or the corresponding version number; users of a Gimp package on OSX may need to install in Library/Application Support/Gimp/scripts/).
This discussion is connected to the gimp-user-list.gnome.org mailing list which is provided by the GIMP developers and not related to gimpusers.com.

Update 'three exposure' plugin
For people who use raw images from cameras, I've updated my ThreeExposures plugin ('process' the raw images to get three differentexposures, i.e a central, nominally correct, exposure and equalamounts of over, and under, exposure (plus or minus 1EV through toplus or minus 3EV, depending on the camera and the image, buttypically plus or minus 2EV.
Thanks to help first from Helmut Jarausch, and then from Ell on the-dev list, I've now got a working version for 2.9 as well as theoriginal 2.8 version.
I was embarrassed to discover that my initial files of examples hada couple of fubars in what I'd done (copied ufraw between machines, but ended up with it using an old idiosyncratic base curve, insteadof the default straight line, and then used the G'Mic Tone Mappingfilter on the assumption it was like the Advanced Tone Mappingfilter, but actually it's more of a sharpening filter. So, I'vereworked them, and used recent versions of gimp-2.9 from git whendoing that (and then tested 2.9.6 on another machine, just to besure).
The reworked examples are now athttp://zarniwhoop.uk/three-exposures.htmlwith links to the 2.8 and 2.9 plugins at the bottom of that page.

Typo'd the subject (should have been 'Updated', not sounding like aninstruction to any existing users) and the 2.8 version has notchanged, only the examples and the 2.9 version are revised.
